Staff / Lead Systems & Platform Engineer
Ronny Arvelo
I turn ambiguous, high-stakes engineering problems into reliable production systems. Across fintech, data, and enterprise environments, I combine distributed-systems architecture, hands-on implementation, and cross-team delivery with clear ownership—using agentic workflows when they make execution faster, more consistent, and easier to verify.
How I deliver
- 01
Shape the work
Turn ambiguous goals into an approved specification with explicit constraints, interfaces, conventions, and acceptance criteria.
- 02
Parallelize deliberately
I’ve used Codex, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot—alongside Orca and Conductor when orchestration is valuable—to delegate bounded work across subagents and MCP-enabled tools.
- 03
Verify and encode
Review integrated results against tests, project conventions, and guardrails, then capture reusable guidance in plugins, skills, and AGENTS.md files.
What I bring to the work
Systems and platform architecture
Distributed, event-driven, and integration-heavy systems designed around failure modes, observability, operational constraints, and long-term change.
From ambiguity to production
Discovery, proof of concept, implementation, rollout, and the coordination required to land complex work across team boundaries.
Hands-on technical leadership
Architectural guidance, clear conventions, mentoring, and delivery ownership without stepping away from implementation.
Technical writing
I’m developing practical writing on distributed systems, platform engineering, and agentic delivery. Until the first pieces are ready, Experience is the best place to see the work behind those subjects.
